First post and a picspam! :)
Hallo everybody,I´m Renata and I´m a huge fan of the Wilburys, I simply love them. I have discovered them through George (whom I admire, he was so talented, goodhearted, unique and also handsome ). And I discovered George again through the Beatles. I´m a Beatles fan all my life, originally I was a Paulie girl, but then I "converted" to George. What else to say? I´m from Czech republic, I´m already a middle-aged lady, but still young at heart. And I wanted to create a Wilbury community for posting pics etc. But then I have told myself that I should check out the Livejournal first, if there wasn´t already one. And I came across this site, so I told myself that it would be better to join here and make this place live again. So you can count me in as a future poster of pictures and various things :)
And as an introduction some nice Wilbury pictures:

It looks as though the remastered Traveling Wilburys boxset containing both albums and a DVD with videos will finally be released this year. Bonus tracks are the cover of a Del Shannon song "Runaway", which was a B-side, "Nobody's Child", which was a single off the benefit album of the same name, and "Maxine" and "Like A Ship", which have reportedly been bootlegged in scary sound quality in the past.
Feel free to google for "traveling wilburys" "rhino" "boxed set" and see for yourself.
And searching around on youtube, I came across this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfv8srVgosI
Hopefully, this gets the discussion going again in this group.

I uploaded this awhile ago and forgot I was in this community. But it's probably going to expire soon so for those who see this - get it while you can!

Traveling Wilburys - Traveling Wilburys, Vol. 1

By far, one of my absolute favorite albums ever made. Enjoy it!

Very random request...
And probably no one will see it, as this community is rather quiet. *hangs head* Nevertheless, I really need 'Dirty World' for a mix I'm making, and I only have the Wilburys on tape and vinyl. If someone could email the song to me, I would be grateful.

One of my favorite Wilbury songs...
Seven deadly sins
That's how the world begins
Watch out when you step in
For seven deadly sins
Seven deadly sins
That's when the fun begins
(Seven deadly sins)

(Sin number one) was when you left me
(Sin number two) you said goodbye
(Sin number three) was when you told me a little white lie

Seven deadly sins
Once it starts, it never ends (seven deadly sins)
Watch out aroung the bend (seven deadly sins)
A seven deadly sins (seven deadly sins)

(Sin number four) was when you looked my way
(Sin number five) was when you smiled
(Sin number six) was when you let me stay
Sin number seven was when you touched me and told me why

Seven deadly sins
So many rules to bend
Time and time again
Seven deadly sins
Seven deadly sins

(Seven deadly sins)
(Seven deadly sins)
(Seven deadly sins)

Seven deadly sins
That's how the world begins (seven deadly sins)
Watch out when you step in (seven deadly sins)
For seven deadly sins
Seven (seven) seven (seven) seven (seven) seven (deadly sins)

"Dirty World"
He love your sexy body, he loves your dirty mind
He loves when you hold him, grab him from behind
Oh baby, you're such a pretty thing
I can't wait to introduce you to the other members of my gang

You don't need no wax job, you're smooth enough for me
If you need you oil changed I'll do it for you free
Oh baby, the pleasure would be all mine
If you let me drive your pickup truck and park it where the sun don't shine

Every time he touches you his hair stands up on end
His legs begin to quiver and his mind begins to bend
Oh baby, you're such a tasty treat
But I'm under doctor's orders, I'm afraid to overeat

He love your sense of humor, your disposition too
There's absolutely nothing that he don't love about you
Oh baby, I'm on my hands and knees
Life would be so simple if I only had you to please

Oh baby, turn around and say goodbye
You go to the airport now and I'm going home to cry
He loves your...

I came across this on some site, and just found it amusing. 'Unique voice'...*grin* And is 'Don't Come Around Here No More' really what Tom Petty is best known for? I don't really think so...

Wilbury mention-
There's a scene in the Australian film Paperback Hero, which has Hugh Jackman in it. Anyway, at one point Jackman and the girl are in a karoke bar, just trying to play some pool.
The girl tries to get Jackman to sing something, and he doesn't want to do it.
Then this obnoxious guy says, 'Why don't you try it mate, see if you can be a bloody Flying Wilbury?'
Jackman (his character is a great Roy Orbison fan) goes over to the guy, tips his drink all over him and replied, 'That's Traveling Wilbury.' Then proceeds to get up and sing 'Crying'.

I just like it. And I'm quite glad they're not called either The Trembling Wilburys or The Flying Wilburys.
